While a little warm sunshine will lift your spirits and help your body synthesize Vitamin D, cumulative exposure will ruin beautiful skin. Harmful rays from the sun age skin prematurely, contributing to leathery, uneven texture, lines, wrinkles and a generally dull complexion. Protect your beautiful investment before you greet each day with a powerful, gentle skin care lotion. Our advice is to find a formula that combines advanced UVA and UVB sun protection with antioxidant-rich ingredients such as vitamin E, and pure plant extracts of sea plankton, green tea, whole grape, soy and licorice. You'll want a day time protective lotion that Advancedes, firms, brightens and protects with a superb formula that provides an effortless base for make-up and delivers all-day protection.
All of us want full body protection when sunbathing, swimming, or doing any outdoor activity. For protection from the harmful effects we need to explore the
age defying sun blocks.
Sun is the primary factor responsible for the adverse effects of aging on the skin; sun is also the major cause of most of the cases of skin cancer which are diagnosed each year. Adverse effects of the sun include wrinkling, dryness, sagging, roughness, enlarged blood vessels, broken capillaries, and light and dark blotches.
Prevention of sun damage is important to everyone, but it is most important to those overexposed to the sun by occupation (lifeguard, tennis pro, or farmer) and lifestyle (outdoor sports, sunny
vacations) or sensitive skin.
The most important area to protect is the face because it is the area of both greatest cosmetic concern and greatest sun exposure. The nose, in particular, requires protection. The nose receives more sun because of its angle of exposure, and it is of tremendous cosmetic importance.
Adverse effects of the sun are caused by the ultraviolet (UV) light spectrum, both short (UVB) and long (UVA) wavelengths.
Sun protection begins by avoiding sun exposure during the time of day when the sun is most damaging-10 AM to 2 PM. Beware of cloudy days! Up to 80% of the sun's damaging, burning rays can penetrate the clouds, even if the temperature is low. At the beach or on the water, you can also burn even in the shade due to the reflection of sunlight from sand or water.
Today's sunscreens are extremely effective in preventing both sunburn and long-term sun damage. We recommend daily use of SPF 15 sunscreen applied to the face for anyone exposed to strong sunlight.
Three characteristics of sunscreens are most important: 1) their effectiveness, 2) their substantivity and 3) their cosmetic properties.
Effectiveness is expressed by the labeled SPF (sun protection factor). An SPF of 15 means that you can stay out in the sun 15 times as long as you could without sun block. We offer an SPF 15 and SPF 30.
Substantivity refers to the ability of a given sunscreen to maintain protection despite exposure to water or sweat. No sunscreen has perfect substantivity, but the newer waterproof sunscreens retain considerable, albeit lessened, protection. It is always best to reapply your sunscreen after
sense gentle face cleaner.
A word about allergy-PABA, the ingredient common to most sunscreens is closely related to sulfonamides (sulfa drugs). People allergic to sulfa are also usually allergic to PABA, and vice versa. An allergic reaction to sunscreen results in a rash that corresponds to the area of application. This allergic rash is not uncommonly photosensitive; that is, it is not worsened by sun exposure. Fortunately for these people allergic to PABA, there are now effective sunscreens available which do not contain PABA.
Do a search for Paba Free Sunscreen.
In choosing your facial masque, it is essential to find one which is cosmetically acceptable to you in terms of feel and fragrance. Your goal is to develop a habit of using sunscreen-if you do not like using it, you will probably eventually stop. Although the choice of sunscreens is not necessarily easy, it is worth finding a sunscreen you like and use
rice skin care. Protecting yourself from the sun is the best thing you can do to keep your skin young and healthy through the years.
